San Francisco

Last week I was able to go to San Francisco with my husband while my mother-in-law stayed with our kids. My husband works for Viper West Demo team. It is a F-16 Demo team stationed out of Hill AFB Utah. They flew in an airshow there and it was also Fleet week. I had such an amazing time. I got to take a bay city cruise around the Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz. The weather was perfect. Also we stayed right by Fishermans Warf and got to eat the most amazing seafood. I loved all the shops at Ghiradelli Square and Pier 39. I definately at my share of chocolate and sourdough bread!!

The airshow was a lot of fun to watch also. We got to sit in a VIP tent with complimentary food and wine. We watched the Snowbirds, Blue Angels, Patriots and my favorite Viper West. My husband narrates for the team and also is the Team Chief. They are a great group of guys and always a lot of fun to hang out with. The only unfortunate downside is that he is gone a lot during their season. But it isn't too bad when I can go too!!
We are now counting down the days until we get to go to Disneyland. We leave this weekend and my kids can hardly wait. We weren't able to take a family vacation this last summer and decided we wanted to go to Disney during the off season.
Also I am now getting into the early spirit of Christmas-it's kind of hard not to with all the stores bringing out their Christmas merchandise. Plus it has started to cool off here, last weekend we had 7 inches of snow. Kind of a crazy early snow storm. But I love driving and seeing all the trees with their yellow and reds and orange leaves. Fall is one of my favorite times of the year.

Halloween is in the air

Well I have been busy browsing the stores for all kinds of cute and fun Halloween stuff. There is so much out there!! We have an awesome store near us called Tai Pan. It is a huge home interior decorating store with great prices. I found some really cute things in there for my Halloween swaps.
My husband and I decided to take our two kids to Disneyland for a family vacation and that is where we will be for Halloween this year. We are all very excited to go. We didn't get the chance to do a family vacation this summer because my husband travels a lot for work and he was gone most of this summer. We have never gone there as a family. My oldest is 8 years old and my youngest is 5 so they are the perfect age to enjoy this vacation.

A Friend From the Past

A crazy thing happend to me the other day. I live on an Air Force base with my husband and two kids and you have to go through a security gate to get onto the base. As I was showing the gate guard my ID she said "Angela" and holy cow it was a friend I knew from when I lived in Italy way back in 1997. She works part time at the base as a security guard and her and her husband have lived here for 8 years. So I managed to get ahold of her and we are going to catch up tomorrow after I take my daughter to school. I am really excited to see what she has been up to. Seeing her brings up a lot of memories from that time in my life. And it also makes me realize how small this world really is.
Well my kids start school tomorrow!! Yay!! They definately need to get back into doing things. My youngest is going to play flag football. He loves sports. And my daughter will be in the 3rd grade. Man how the time flys...
